Case study: publication writing

The client

A leading research group at a major Chinese hospital.

The problem

The client approached Edanz Writing in July 2008 to write a manuscript describing the results of a retrospective case-control study.

The solution

The Edanz Writing team provided the client with a detailed report listing a number of potential target journals, ranked in order of their appropriateness. During three rounds of writing and two rounds of client review, the client was asked to answer questions and provide additional information to ensure that the manuscript was complete and as robust as possible, and that it accurately reflected the clinical findings. The third and final draft was returned to the client within 15 working days of the initial order.

The outcome

The study was published in an SCI-indexed journal in May 2009.
